Buzznet Brings In $6 Million New Financing

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- Social media network Buzznet announced that it has closed a new round of financing, receiving $6 million in new venture capital.

Buzznet brings together user generated content focused on the music industry.  The site offers tools that allow users to program, interact and create multi-media communities around bands and musicians they are interested in.

The investors in the round were Redpoint Ventures of Menlo Park and Anthem Venture Partners of Santa Monica.  The company intends to use the funding proceeds to expand into other areas of popular culture.
